Cars.com Goes Mobile with Crisp Wireless

  • June 6, 2007
Cars.com has partnered with mobile tech firm Crisp Wireless to give users access to a wealth of vehicle research information from their mobile phones.

The Cars.com mobile platform, hosted and powered by Crisp Wireless' proprietary mLogic technology, will enable visitors to search an inventory of some 2 million new and used cars, including photos.

The mLogic platform can detect each user's handset, carrier and related capabilities, and then deploy the optimal version of the site accordingly--giving shoppers access to used car pricing info from Kelley Blue Book, as well as the Cars.com blog, Kicking Tires.

Mobile shoppers can also utilize the site's local dealer search functionality. By offering maps and directions, in addition to a click-to-call option, Cars.com can monetize the mobile channel by creating geo-targeted and contextual advertising opportunities.
