Nielsen Co. Tuesday said it has been retained by The Defense Commissary Agency, operator of commissaries for the U.S. military, to provide market research and consumer intelligence for its chain of
stores on military bases worldwide. The five-year contract calls for Nielsen to provide retail sales measurement, store planning databases and software. As part of the deal, the DCA will have access
to all packaged goods data from its Homescan U.S. household database.
