NBC's DotComedy Adds UGC

  • June 29, 2007
NBC Digital Entertainment's DotComedy.com has launched a "Viewer-Made" channel in beta. The channel enables DotComedy viewers to upload their own shorts, skits and parodies. All original DotComedy videos, as well as the user-generated fare, now also feature code that allows visitors to embed them on blogs, profiles and personal Web sites. The site has also debuted free, ad-supported high resolution, downloadable videos that can be viewed online and off, as well as shared via peer-to-peer networks. The first download includes Stuckey & Murray's immigration music video "Mexicohabitation," the live-action video game parody "Double Dragon: 18 Years Later" and the Internet classic "The Easter Bunny Hates You," as well as its prequel.
