Ball State University's Center for Media Design (CMD) said it has begun using iLoop's Mobile mFinity platform to examine consumer use of mobile devices in marketing, entertainment, content/information
delivery, social networking and commerce.
The Muncie, IN, facility has already used mFinity in a test study involving college students and a national pizza chain's mobile coupon campaign.
Future research will explore advertising formats on different mobile devices, a metropolitan information alert service program, mobile incentives and a social networking program with Second Life.
