HipCricket Gives 40+ Radio Stations Text Message Hook Up

  • July 11, 2007

HipCricket has inked a deal to provide six radio broadcast companies with an opt-in text message marketing solution.

Together, Hubbard Radio, Triad Broadcasting Company, Perry Broadcasting Inc, Press Communications, Sandusky Radio Seattle, and South Central Radio Group represent 43 radio stations nationwide.

HipCricket's strategy aims to boost the stations revenue streams by getting users to sign up for ad-supported text message promotions. In the midst of an industry-wide decline in radio ad spending, more stations are turning to interactive tactics to stem that tide.

"The customers we're announcing signed on with HipCricket for three main reasons: support, results, and revenue," said Ivan Braiker, CEO, HipCricket.
