For the first fiscal quarter, net revenue for Emmis Communications was $87.3 million, compared to $89.8 million for the same quarter in 2006--a decrease of 3%. The decrease related primarily to
revenue declines at Emmis' New York and Los Angeles radio stations. Radio net revenues decreased 5.5%, while publishing net revenues increased 6.0%. The company expects its radio station operating
expenses for the quarter ending Aug. 31, 2007, to increase from the prior year in the mid- to high single-digit range on a percentage basis. International radio operations continue to perform well,
offsetting weakness in domestic radio ops.
