Retail giant Wal-Mart and Web content company Sequoia Media Group said they will launch a consumer-generated content Web site that lets consumers turn their photos into movies.
Wal-Mart Mini Movie is to be a free Web site where people can create and share videos.
The site will be part of Sequoia's aVinci Experience site that lets consumers apply special effects and
storyboards to their home videos and photos. Wal-Mart Mini Movie will be at walmart.avincimovie.com.
Registered users will be able to choose from templates like Vacation, Wedding, Sports,
Family, Celebrations and All Occasion, then upload up to six photos, add a title, then make movies. A coordinating Movie Poster will also be automatically generated and ready to share.
The
program will also be accessible at Wal-Mart Photo Centers and is included on Wal-Mart Photo Center promotional disks and on Fujifilm digital album photo disks.
