Digital Drives BET Exec Changes

Scott Mills, formerly president of digital media and chief financial officer, has been promoted to president and chief operating officer at BET Networks. Denmark West was named to replace Mills as president of digital media, and Michael Pickrum as CFO.

West was most recently with sister Viacom company MTV Networks as executive vice president and chief of operations for Global Digital Media. In his new position, he will lead BET's digital brands, including BET.com, BET Mobile, BET on Demand and BET's digital download offerings, as well as overseeing the the company's global digital strategy. Earlier in his career, West held a number of positions at Microsoft.

Since 2003, Pickrum has served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of BET Interactive, replacing Mills in that position when the latter became CFO.
