BlueTie, a Software as a Service (SaaS) company geared toward small businesses, has partnered with email marketing provider Constant Contact to integrate the latter's email marketing tool into
BlueTie's hosted email and calendaring application.
Small and medium business owners can now create, manage, and launch email marketing campaigns, including custom newsletters and
promotions, directly from a drop-down box in the BlueTie application. The Constant Contact tool also gives business owners access to support and tracking reports, as well as a channel to get customer
feedback.
All options are accessible through BlueTie's 'Featuretisement' panel. The company's Featuretisements run on a pay-per-action model, providing direct revenue to Constant Contact and
other partners each time customers complete a transaction. In addition to Constant Contact for e-mail marketing, other Featuretisement partners include Orbitz for travel planning, Mapquest for
directions and mapping, and Business.com for search.
The first partners signed on in late April, and BlueTie plans to add additional partners in blog publishing, Internet telephony, and Web
conferencing to the hosted application in the near future.
