Why? LinkedIn was seen as flat and nonviral, and it provides a massive network of people many don't know. By contrast, Facebook proved to be great for business networking as well as socializing. For example, Web professionals can join groups such as "Web 2.0," where they can meet and interact with other pros in their field. It also allows users to create events (i.e. industry conferences) and invite friends to join-which is useful both for marketing purposes, but also for getting attendees in contact with one another both before and after the event.
