Dallas-based La Quinta Inns & Suites' hotel chain is supplementing its ad campaign, "Wake Up on the Bright Side," with an online, consumer-content effort running through Sept. 14.
The
effort, centering on WakeUpOnTheBrightSide.com, asks consumers to make a video using La Quinta's video clips and adding "bright side" captions. The creator of the video receiving the most votes wins a
five-day vacation, including airfare, hotel and spending money. In addition, the winning video will also be featured on La Quinta's site.
Also available on La Quinta's website is a free
downloadable cell phone ring tone featuring the music from the La Quinta commercials and eight free customizable wake-up calls.
