The new SPC Digital division of Time Inc.'s Southern Progress Corporation has lured Scripps Networks online veteran Jim Sexton on board as senior vice president and editorial director. Based at SPC's
headquarters in Birmingham, AL, Sexton will be in charge of editorial for all of SPC's magazine Web sites as well as the new MyRecipes.com and soon-to-launch MyHomeIdeas.com. He will also oversee
Southern Progress' Digital Video Studio.
Sexton was most recently senior vice president, interactive brands for Scripps, where he has led the strategic direction and content of such
sites as HGTV.com and DIYnetwork.com. Earlier in his career, Jim served in editorial roles at various publications, including USA Weekend and several Whittle Communications magazines.

Digital also named Steve Zales, a veteran executive with ESPN Internet and CNNSI, as senior vice president and general manager, based in New York. He will be responsible for business and operational
functions, including ad revenue strategies. In addition to ESPN and CNNSI, Zales spent a number of years at Sports Illustrated, HBO and Unilever. Also, SPC Digital hired Andrea DiCastro, previously
with NextJump, as executive producer and Dane Sorensen, formerly with Land's End's Internet division, as marketing director.
