Papa John's is offering a promotion geared to Friday's premiere of "High School Musical 2," a sequel to be shown on the Disney Channel, although the Louisville, Ky.-based company is not spelling this out.

The company is offering consumers an online-only special of a free large one-topping pizza with the purchase of an extra-large specialty pizza at regular menu price. Consumers will be able to access the offer at papajohns.com by typing HSM2 in the promo code box.

News of the offer was distributed by a press release Tuesday that only alluded to the name of the made-for-TV movie because, a spokesperson says: "In respect of their trademark, we didn't call it out by name."

"As the Wildcats showcase their new songs and dance moves, Papa John's will be right there with the rest of America, enjoying the fun," Jim Ensign, vice president/marketing communications at Papa John's, was quoted in the release as saying.
