Search engine marketing is a great way to reach moms, according to "Searcher Moms - A Search Behavior and Usage Study" study, prepared by DoubleClick Performics, Microsoft and ROI Research.
The study researched 1,000 mothers, and found that:
89% use the Internet at least twice/day
90% have been using it for more than seven years
86% said search engines are the most
efficient way to find information
70% use search engines to gather information before making any online purchase
57% use search engines to gather information before making any offline
purchase
64% use search engines to find out where to purchase products offline
64% use a search engine to gather more information after seeing an advertisement

survey results were presented by Microsoft Research Manager Peiwen Li at Search Engine Strategies in San Jose.
