Lifetime Television used the kickoff of the NCTA show in New Orleans to launch its spring and summer programming lineup. It is led by original movies. "Scared Silent," stars Penelope Ann Miller, Reed Diamond and Andrew Jackson. It's the story of a group of women, all raped by the same police officer, who challenge the male-dominated legal system to bring their rapist to justice. "Scared Silent" premieres Monday, May 20. On June 10, Kathy Baker, Bruce Davison and Paul Franklin Dano star in "Too Young to Be a Dad," exploration of teenage pregnancy from the point of view of the young man and his family.

Lifetime will also continue two popular series. Hosted by Meredith Vieira, the "Intimate Portrait" biography series will feature TV Mom Doris Roberts (May 13), Paramount Pictures' Sherry Lansing (May 28) and political leader Geraldine Ferraro (May 30). Also returning is "Player's Journal," which profiles the top players in the WNBA, focusing on the most successful and most interesting beneficiaries of Title IX. This season each half-hour show will be hosted by Academy Award winning actress Holly Hunter ("Piano,""Oh, Brother Where Art Thou") and will offer a biographical account of the very personal journey to the elite levels of competition and recognition. It premieres Friday, May 31.
