New Editor At Promo

Primedia's Promo magazine has named publishing veteran Kathleen M. Joyce as editor-in-chief. Joyce is the former editorial director and associate publisher of Directory World and former executive editor of Catalog Age, also Primedia publications in the directory and catalog industries, respectively. She will spearhead the expansion and enhancement of the magazine's editorial content, including probing coverage of annual spending on promotional marketing (some $100 billion in the U.S. in 2002. Among her initiatives will be a first quarter redesign of the magazine's e-newsletter, PROMO Xtra. The newsletter's focus will shift to including more news from the front lines of promotion marketing and richer analytical resources for marketing executives.
