24/7 Real Media, Inc. announced yusterday that DIRECTV will use 24/7 Real Media’s Open AdStream Central technology, which manages message delivery from 24/7 Real Media’s servers. DIRECTV’s deployment of 24/7 Real Media’s technology is distinctive in that it will be used primarily to manage the delivery of targeted content on DIRECTV’s website to both potential and existing customers, whereas 24/7 Real Media’s Open AdStream Central is typically used to deliver third-party advertising. Company officials say Open AdStream Central will enable DIRECTV to provide a more timely and cost-effective solution to meet the requirements of its new website design and home page.
