For retailers wondering just how promotional the competition will be this holiday season, Wal-Mart has a very specific answer: The Bentonville, Ark.-based retailer says it has cut prices on 15,000
items this week, "increasing rollbacks by 20% over last year."
Many are hot toy items, including those from Fisher-Price and Bratz. Wal-Mart, which has centered its latest ad campaign on
just how much money it saves typical families, says "these rollbacks are just the start of special values we'll unveil now through December to remind people that our prices will remain
unbeatable."
