Writers Union: 90% Vote For Strike

Hollywood writers gave an OK to their union reps to call a strike if a new labor agreement with movie and TV studios isn't secured. Some 90% of the Writers Guild's 5,500 members approved the strike. The issues are residuals and compensation for new media work, including the Internet and mobile phones. The contract expires Oct. 31.
