It's official. Yahoo CMO Cammie Dunaway joins Nintendo on Nov. 5 as executive vice president of sales and marketing, reporting directly to President/COO Reggie Fils-Aime.
Dunaway
will be responsible for all of Nintendo's marketing and sales activities in the U.S., Canada and Latin America, the company said in a statement.
Dunaway, who spent four years at Yahoo and 13 at
Frito-Lay, "is the perfect choice to drive the next phase of Nintendo's business," said Fils-Aime.
Nintendo suffered a marketing brain drain when it moved from Redmond, Wash. to
California--losing Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications George Harrison, Senior Director of Consumer Marketing Rob Matthews and Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Affairs
Perrin Kaplan.
Nintendo also named Shigeyuki Takahashi its executive vice president special assignment, responsible for conducting research and providing insights to the sales and marketing
department.
