Diameter Ranks Top Sites

  • May 1, 2001
Diameter, a division of DoubleClick and comScore Networks, has released their top websites list for the first time. Diameter's top 20 is based on the netScore Buying Power Index (BPI). BPI measures the total dollars spent online by the average member of a site's audience, indexed to the total online dollars spent by the average Internet user. A BPI of 100 represents the baseline index, while 200 would mean the average visitor to a specific site spends twice as much as the average Internet user. Here are the top 10 for the month of March:

1) BizRate.com -- 673

2) newport-news.com -- 618

3) staples.com -- 610

4) cartserver.com -- 561

5) necxdirect -- 539

6) southwest.com -- 534

7) eddiebauer.com -- 513

8) fedex.com -- 507

9) spiegel.com -- 504

10) delta.com -- 502
