WAM! America’s Kidz Network announced Wednesday license agreements for two new series, Young Hercules and Weird Science, and the renewal of its original series Get Reel to refresh the channel’s Date @ 8 package. Twenty new episodes of Get Reel, a showbiz for teens series, have been commissioned from Television Syndicated Co. The new episodes will be shown on WAM! beginning March 12. The half-hour magazine-style series brings the world of entertainment and the celebrities to WAM!'s teen viewers. The show is hosted by two aspiring young stars – Chase Stafford and Jillian Windham – who share the latest behind-the-scenes information on feature films, new music videos and releases, live performances and hot attractions the entire family can enjoy. "Our audience is wild about 'Get Reel,'" said Midge Pierce, vice president, WAM! programming. "It boosts the teen appeal of our popular 'Date @ 8' package and keeps our network up-to-date with music, celebrities, the teen scene and the latest trends among tweens – the most influential demographic in America right now."
