"Wheel of Fortune" host Pat Sajak has become an investor and strategic partner in Numedeon, parent company of the Whyville tween virtual world. While the company did not disclose the exact size of the
investment, it stated that Sajak is a "significant shareholder in the corporation." While Sajak owns P.A.T. productions (a TV production company in association with Columbia Television) and Sajak
Broadcasting (which owns two Maryland radio stations), the investment in Numedeon marks the first time he has taken a stake in a virtual world. Numedeon's founder and CEO, James Bower, said Sajak's
involvement "will pave the way for several new Numedeon virtual worlds set to launch in the next two quarters."
