TiVo, the company that markets and manufactures the leading digital video recorder on the market announced today that it has entered into a new agreement with America Online, Inc. Under the agreement,
TiVo will work to integrate AOL features as a service available to subscribers with a TiVo Series2 DVR. TiVo subscribers who choose this service will receive popular AOL features like instant
messaging and live chat. In addition, the companies will work to provide AOL members who are also TiVo subscribers with the ability to schedule recordings on their TiVo from the AOL service. AOL has
agreed to pay TiVo a development fee for these applications.
