Do-It-Yourself Banners

  • March 4, 2002
OSDN, the Open Source Development Network, Inc., has unveiled its Self Serve Ad System. Small businesses, IT organizations and tech-savvy individuals now have a new way to create and place their own advertising banners on OSDN sites, such as Slashdot and SourceForge.net, through one seamless process. The Self Serve Ad System was designed as an alternative to the more traditional ways of placing banner advertising on the web. From the system's management center, users can create and maintain individual ads as well as entire advertising campaigns. The system even provides an easy-to-use banner creation tool to enable quick design of banners. Designed with smaller advertisers in mind who may have limited budgets, there are no sales representatives involved or paper contracts to sign. The entire transaction occurs online.
