ACNielsen U.S., an operating unit of VNU's ACNielsen, today announced it has acquired complete ownership of the multi-channel alcohol beverage information services that were previously owned by a
joint venture with Adams Business Research. The services, marketed under the name LiquorScan, are now fully owned and operated by ACNielsen. The information services, including exclusive reporting on
sales in 15 U.S. markets, have tracked sales of wine, spirits and beer since 1993. Coverage includes the grocery, drug, mass merchandise, and convenience channels of trade.
