MLB Advanced Media, LP, the interactive media company for Major League Baseball, on Wednesday said that it will bar potential partners from using adware (which it called "spyware" in a statement) to
distribute commercial messages with MLB.com. The company said in a statement that the action is being taken to protect the company's website and its visitors. MLBAM has added specific anti-spyware
language to its partnership agreements as a result of its decision to prohibit the use of adware.
