Yahoo has begun allowing brokers to list homes for sale for free on the Web portal's real estate section.
Prudential Real Estate Affiliates and Realogy Corporation are among the first to have
their full property listings on Yahoo Real Estate. Other participating brokers include GMAC Real Estate, Keller Williams Realty and ZipRealty.
Yahoo aims to benefit from the expanding listings by
selling brokers and franchisors related marketing services including featured listings, display advertising and subscriber alerts. Yahoo Real Estate ranks third among U.S. real estate sites, with more
than 3 million monthly visitors as of December 2007--a 25% gain over the year-earlier period.
