Are Games Anti-Family?

These [arguments against games] are, in a word, ridiculous. If "families" can't be responsible enough to follow the ratings set by the ESRB, MPAA and other content rating boards, it is not our place to label various media as "anti-family." Each person has his or her own definition of morality and family and should not be penalized for a belief system outside that of our society's moral compass.

As an adult and a gamer, I appreciate game content that is geared toward me. I likely wouldn't let a child play some of the content that I'm immersed in, but it is still up to parents to make that decision for their children and their families.

If parents aren't concerned enough to watch the type of media content their children consume, isn't that in itself anti-family behavior?
