According to Reuters, Hachette Filipacchi on Tuesday said it will raise the price of Premiere and cut its frequency. Starting with the February 2003 issue, Premiere will carry a cover price of $3.99
per issue, up from its current $3.50, while its introductory subscription price will go up 20 percent. The current average subscription price for Premiere is $17.40 for 12 issues. The rate base will
be cut to 500,000 from 600,000 to better reflect its core readership and frequency will be moved to 10 times a year, from 12 times, with two annual double issues.
