Playboy Publishing Group president Michael Carr is out There are no plans to replace Carr, according to the company, which says James Dimonekas will remain in his position as publisher of Playboy
magazine. Playboy Enterprises has also reorganized and expanded its Licensing Group to include management of the international publishing and international online businesses under new president of
global licensing Alex Vaickus. Playboy president/COO David Zucker says the changes are aimed at better cross-marketing and sales efforts. Through September, Playboy’s ad pages were down 16% with
revenues off 8%, according to the Publishers Information Bureau. Playboy has struggled to hold onto its readers who have shifted their focus to laddie titles like FHM and Maxim. In September, Playboy
hired Maxim executive editor James Kaminsky to lead its flagship title. Playboy will publish its 50-th anniversary issue in January.
