Paul Kadin, EVP-marketing and strategy at Eyeblaster, is poised to exit the rich media firm, according to a company spokesman. The high-level departure comes as the company continues the rollout for
its VideoClip Module, a new in-stream advertising and content management product that it launched early last month.
Eyeblaster has experienced months of turmoil in its marketing ranks, having
lost Tom Jenen as director of marketing late last year. The company hired Masha Geller, a former editor at MediaPost Communications, the publisher of MediaDailyNews, in January.
Industry-watchers and insiders say that Eyeblaster's sales and marketing teams haven't been on the same page for some time, and that Kadin is taking the fall for the problems. Speculation about
Kadin's future at Eyeblaster was heightened recently as his name surfaced among industry players with whom he had been discussing potential opportunities.
An Eyeblaster spokesman declined to
comment, other than to say that the company's growth has led to a need for a restructuring of management, and that Kadin is currently assisting with the transition. Kadin's departure date has not yet
been determined; a replacement has yet to be named.
Kadin was responsible for overseeing the implementation of all marketing, and had P&L responsibility for the creative and marketing
departments. He has also been a key part of the company's growth initiatives.
