Voters Expect President To Know The Way Around the Web

  • February 1, 2008
Nearly 45% of voters expect the next U.S. president to be Internet savvy, according to a new poll conducted by Zogby International on behalf of the Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee in advance of its annual policy conference in Washington.

Neary half of those polled cited the Internet as their primary source of information about the presidential candidates. Only 31% and 13% cited television and radio, respectively, as the primary source.

Zogby also found that concerns over voter fraud doomed prospects for Internet voting, with 67.2% saying it was a bad idea.
