Kiptronic has added digital media vet Barry Briggs to its Board of Directors, and hired Sandy Shanman as senior vice president of sales.

Briggs joins San Francisco-based Kiptronic's executive leadership team after serving as president and COO of CNET for almost seven years. Prior to that, Briggs served as president of media at CNET following the online media outlet's merger with ZDNet in 2000. He has also served on the executive board of the Online Publishers Association (OPA), as well as the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB).

Meanwhile, Shanman comes to Kiptronic from Quattro Wireless, where he served as vice president of sales. Prior to Quattro, Shanman previously served as vice president, advertising sales for AOL's Advertising.com, where he was responsible for $120 million in ad revenue.

Kiptronic is an online advertising tech firm that enables publishers to dynamically insert ads into various kinds of digital media content, including video and audio, over the Web, via mobile phone or PDA, as well as into personal media players like iPods.
