Vanessa Williams will perform at the 2008 Broadcasters Foundation of America Golden Mike Award Gala that honors Anne Sweeney, co-chair of Disney Media Networks and president of the Disney-ABC
Television Group. The black-tie event is being held at the Waldorf-Astoria (East 49 Street and Park Avenue in Manhattan at 6 p.m.) on Monday, Feb. 25. It raises money for The Broadcasters Foundation
of America, the only organization that provides ongoing financial assistance to radio and television broadcasters in acute financial need due to illness, accident, age, death of a spouse or other
adverse personal circumstances. The foundation has distributed more than $3 million in the last five years.
