Clear Channel Sues To Keep TV Deal On Track

Clear Channel Communications says Providence Equity Partners must complete its agreed-to $1.2 billion purchase of its 56 TV stations. And it's suing the company to ensure the deal goes through, reports Bloomberg News. Clear Channel says the executives at Newport Television, a subsidiary of Providence, have "buyer's remorse"--but contends that's not Clear Channel's problem, and wants the court to uphold the original agreements.
