Overture Korea on Thursday said it scored a distribution deal to serve its Precision Match sponsored search listings on NHN Co.'s Naver portal (www.naver.com), one of the leading search portals in
Korea. Under the terms of the agreement Naver, which will also offer search on the cost-per-thousand model, will use Precision Match, which enables advertisers to determine ad prices via
cost-per-click. This model requires payment only when a customer clicks through to a site. The new deal gives Overture, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yahoo!, major market penetration in Korea and marks
the first time that Naver will offer cost-per-click sponsored search listings to advertisers. Overture Korea also has distribution deals with Yahoo! Korea, Daum, MSN, and Nate.
