As part of an ongoing relationship with Coca-Cola, Blockbuster Video announced it will sponsor the Sprite Liquid Mix 2002 Tour. The 15 market tour runs Aug. 20 through Sept. 8. The retailer will set
up “The Blockbuster Lounge at Sprite Liquid Mix,” a branded gaming pavilion that allows concert goers to play video games at each concert location. The pavilions will have 10 gaming kiosks, plus
traffic-driving promotions to Blockbuster stores. In March, Blockbuster and Coca-Cola announced a five-year global marketing and product alliance, building on a distribution agreement the two
companies have had since 1995.
