Maytag Corporation announced it will consolidate all of its media planning and buying under Universal McCann in New York. The announcement represents the final phase of the transition of all planning
for all Maytag brands ll of its brands, including JennAir, Amana and Hoover. Saul Esparza, director of national advertising for Hoover, said, "This was an extremely difficult decision for all of us.
Our previous media partners, Starcom and Initiative Media, served our needs well." The company's advertising agency for the Maytag and Jenn-Air brands will continue to be Leo Burnett in Chicago.
Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis is advertising agency of record for Amana. Hoover's advertising agency is Ten United in Pittsburgh.
