How Bad Is Yahoo?

  • by March 7, 2008
Yahoo has been consistently behind the tech trend curve for - Geez - like what? Five years?

Watch -- as these new features roll out at Yahoo, Google and all the other true industry leaders will be showing us the next step in web development -- which will take Yahoo! another three to five years to match.

I don't think there's any chance of saving this company from ultimate annihilation -- they're too far gone, too far behind, focusing on the wrong features and wrong content.

Not to mention they're getting too much like Microsoft. Have you tried Yahoo's new webmail? It's bloated, slow, and too full of "fluff" to use in any qualitative manner. Compare this to GMail, which is simple, where the ads are actually RELEVANT, and it works on virtually any computer.

Of course, that's the story of Yahoo, period -- bloated, slow, irrelevant, and working under the assumption that cool graphics and neat coding will make up for a lack of functionality.

I'd love it if -- for once -- Yahoo would leave the mail interface alone and instead focus on how to control the spam in my 10-year-old email account. THAT would be USEFUL progress, not progress for the sake of progress!
