AOL named Lynda Clarizio president of Platform-A as part of the consolidation and integration plan for AOL's industry-leading advertising business.
Clarizio has been president of
Advertising.com, one of the businesses that makes up Platform-A. In this new, expanded role, Clarizio will lead the industry's largest online advertising network, which offers the most comprehensive
suite of marketing solutions powered by the Web's best advertising technologies. She will report to AOL President and Chief Operating Officer Ron Grant.
Clarizio replaces Curt Viebranz, former
CEO of Tacoda, who became Platform-A's first President when the organization was announced in the fall of 2007.
Prior to joining Advertising.com in May 2006, Clarizio was an executive vice
president at AOL, responsible for strategy, finance and business development of AOL's Audience business. She has held several other positions throughout her nine years at AOL, including senior vice
president for corporate strategic and financial planning and senior vice president for acquisitions and strategic investments. In the latter role, she led AOL's acquisition of Advertising.com.
