ImpreMedia Snags Former Yahoo Hispanic Division Director

  • March 18, 2008
ImpreMedia, publisher of Spanish-language newspapers like El Diario La Prensa and Hoy, has named Liz Sarachek Blacker senior vice president, online sales.

Blacker will be responsible for expanding impreMedia's online sales programs and developing strategic partnerships--efforts similar to the ones she led as executive director of Yahoo's U.S. Hispanic Division. While at Yahoo, Blacker helped launch the Web giant's Hispanic efforts, including sales and multi-platform sponsorship programs. Blacker also co-founded the Hispanic Committee of the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB).

"The Hispanic community has traditionally been underserved in the digital space in the U.S.," Blacker said. "There is an enormous opportunity for impreMedia to lead across all digital marketing platforms for the community by offering digital content in a culturally relevant and powerful way."
