AAF Picks New Officers

The American Advertising Federation (AAF) will name two ad industry executives to head the 50,000-member organization, effective July 1, 2003. Carla Michelotti, executive vice president /general counsel, Leo Burnett Worldwide, Inc. will serve as AAF chairman and Jack Griffin, president and publisher of PARADE magazine, will serve as AAF vice chair. Michelotti succeeds Mark Dacey, senior client partner, media & entertainment sector of Korn/Ferry International. Board members will be voted in by the membership at the AAF National Conference 2003 on June 7. Additional board executives include Judy Hu, general manager-corporate advertising & marketing communications, GE as secretary; Nick Ferrari, CEO, Erdos & Morgan as assistant secretary; Al Schultz, chairman & CEO, Valassis as treasurer; Jyll Holzman, senior vice president-advertising, The New York Times as assistant treasurer; Andrea Alstrup, corporate VP-advertising, Johnson & Johnson as Mosaic chair and Tom Bernardin, COO, Lowe New York as chair, corporate members.
