Voting For Favorite Movie Ads

  • June 9, 2003
For the first time ever, moviegoers can vote for their favorite movie advertising campaigns at key-art-awards.com. This new site gives the general public a chance to pick the best movie trailer, poster and Web site from among the finalists in the 32nd Annual Key Art Awards. The results of this voting will be announced as a "By The People" recognition at the Key Art Awards ceremony on Friday, June 20 at the International Cultural Center (formerly Scottish Rite theater) in Los Angeles and posted on key-art-awards.com following the event. Links to the voting site are now posted at various film studio Web sites, as well as AOL.com, Fandango.com and hollywoodreporter.com , among others. Voting procedures are designed so that only one user per computer terminal can cast a vote, thus helping to ensure the validity of the results. The Awards were created and are sponsored by The Hollywood Reporter. This year, the Awards committee received a record 1,200 submissions. The term "key art" refers to the singular, iconographic image that is the foundation upon which a movie's marketing campaign is built.
