Former Yahoo News head Neil Budde has joined personalized news startup DailyMe as president and chief product officer. The company was started in 2005 by Eduardo Hauser, founder and executive vice
president of AOL Latin America.
In a post on the DailyMe site, Budde, who is also former editor and publisher of the Wall Street Journal Online, said his new company is like Yahoo
News in that it will aggregate news from many sources. Unlike Yahoo, however, it doesn't have a huge built-in audience.
"As a lean startup, we can move quickly to adapt to what we learn from you
as we work to create the best place to discover, consume, share and participate with the news that interests you across all digital platforms," he wrote. Budde left Yahoo in December.
