Msnbc's Newsbreaker Challenge Invites Media Agencies To Compete

  • April 8, 2008
Msnbc.com is bringing old-fashioned rivalry into the world of media agencies with its first-ever NewsBreaker Challenge.

For one month, starting Monday, April 14, media agencies across the U.S. can compete against one another to get the highest average score playing msnbc.com's hit online game, NewsBreaker.

The agency with the top average score will reign as the NewsBreaker Challenge champion, and will win a one-day msnbc.com home page takeover for a national charity of its choice. In addition, individual prizes such as an Xbox 360, a Zune music player and a Blu-Ray Disc player will be awarded to individual players with the highest scores.

Msnbc.com originally debuted NewsBreaker last year, and since then its classic breakout-style game play has captivated gamers from all over the world. The online game infuses the latest news, entertainment and information from msnbc.com's RSS feeds with a challenging online game. The goal of the game is to accumulate points and knowledge by capturing real-time headlines taken from msnbc.com's extensive spectrum of stories. After playing one or two rounds of the game, players will be plugged into all of the day's news.
