In effort to monetize the social media landscape, online ad company Kontera on Wednesday announced that Microsoft had chosen its service for displaying contextually relevant ads on business community
LinkedIn.
Kontera will service contextually relevant reference information from Microsoft in ad units to appear in LinkedIn's "Answers" service for its IT community.
Thus, when
one of our users in LinkedIn's IT community asks or answers a question in LinkedIn's Information Technology category, Kontera's technology will mine the content of LinkedIn's "Answers" section, and
then serve up ads for relevant Microsoft product links.
