Facebook Delays Redesign Until Later This Spring

  • April 15, 2008
Facebook has delayed launching redesigned profile pages until later this spring. Initially, the social networking site had planned to introduce revamped profiles this month.

The company postponed the upgrade as it continues seeking input from outside application developers involved in the process. "We're still iterating on the design, making sure we get it right," Facebook's Pete Bratach wrote in a post on the company's blog for developers.

He added that developers would also have the chance to update their Facebook applications before the profile page relaunch. More than 20,000 apps have been created for the social network since last year.
