AOL for Broadband Teams With Tour de France

  • July 2, 2004
America Online's AOL for Broadband has signed a deal to become a major sponsor of the Outdoor Life Network's Tour de France coverage July 3-25. The company on Friday said AOL for Broadband members will have exclusive online access to video highlights and vignettes from the race. Broadband members will receive a package of 1-2 minute race highlights, and 3-5 minute video segments focusing on behind-the-scenes, cultural and background topics. The deal gives AOL for Broadband sponsorship of the Network's daily morning show, the pre-race show and the daily "Ask Bob" question. It is also a key sponsor of the Network's Morning Show, Live Coverage, and the afternoon program called "The Roadside Tour" show. All AOL members will be given a chance to enter a sweepstakes for a trip to San Francisco in September to meet Lance Armstrong.
