Gannett Co. offered buyouts to 160 workers at most of its New Jersey newspapers. The offer was made to those over 55 with at least 15 years of service. The newspapers are the
Asbury Park Press
of Neptune,
Courier-Post of Cherry Hill,
Home News Tribune of East Brunswick,
Courier News of Bridgewater and
Daily Journal of Vineland. If buyouts aren't accepted,
layoffs, due to drops in ad revenue, will probably be unavoidable.
